Johann Christian Fischer (* 1733 - † 1800)
Although Fischer performed, along with his compatriots Johann Christian Bach and Karl Friedrich Abel, in Queen Charlotte’s chamber group from the time of its formation in 1774, his formal appointment did not take place until 1780. As the title page of this source indicates “Musician to the Queen of Great Britain”, it should be assumed that the earliest date of their publication would have been 1780.
